This unit as configured provides a DVD player that you can watch in the front seat (with parking brake on) or send to a separate monitor in the back while driving.Also comes with a GARMIN navigation unit.Acts as AM/FM receiver with RDS or CD player.Dual zone lets you send the movie to the back while you listen to the radio (but not effective unless you have some partition between front and back.)Sound quality perhaps a bit better than stock Chevy Suburban system - did no blow me away.Can add separate amp / sub-woofer.Typical Kenwood lets you also add many other peripherals to the base unit (rear camera, etc.)
Pros:
Navigation system gets you where you are going.
DVD looks great
Relatively inexpensive compared to similar units
Overall good little unit - would buy again.
Cons:
Need instruction manual to configure - could have a bit more intuitive setup menu and online help.
Nav unit still (April 2007) does not have the Daylight Savings time fix (other Garmin units do have software fixes.)
