(More customer reviews)Im getting tired of people telling me that all speaker wire and Subwoofer cable is the same, when switched from my old ordinary speaker wire with banana plugs to my dayton audio speaker wire for my full 7.1 Definitive Tech setup I heard at least a 20-30% difference in bass,power and voice quality the difference was shocking. So I decided to switch from a old Dynex Sub cable witch worked just fine to this thicker and sturdier monster 850 wich is about 3-4 times thicker than my dynex cable for my supercube reference Subwoofer. And again it was a huge difference bass is more defined,lower a better punch and I actually feel it more. The low bass now seems as if I have my legs in a fast moving river stream and and the water is running through my legs pretty quickly It sounded so much better I went back to my local Definitive Tech dealer and ordered a 2nd Supercube Reference Subwoofer. Im not an audiophile but I can hear a massive difference in my total system ever since I upgraded all my connections. If you spend around 14,000 on your Receiver Speaker and Subs alone you can spend a little more on quality cables and wires. Unless you want to go the cheap route and keep upgrading all the time then go ahead. Maybe cheaper wires would have worked for my old cerwin vega setup from when I was like 15 back in 1995. Maybe I just needed something a little bigger and thicker for my current setup to pull out better sound. Do it right the 1st time so you dont have to keep doing it over and over and spending even more money than if it was just done right the 1st time. The only thing I wasnt happy with was that the Y adapter cable that comes with this Sub cable is not the one in the pictures that bends easily. It is a stiff monster Y adapter that is about 8 inches that sticks straight out of the back of the sub when it is connected. I would have liked the one that looks like the Sub cables itself .................UPDATE................ I have been using these cables for over 6 months now and they are excellent I ordered 2 12ft cables and 2 20ft cables just incase I decide to add another 2 Def Tech Supercube References.
