High resolution (800 x 480) screen, Windows CE based, and fast processor!
I have looked at many of the popular GPS navigations systems, but even the high
end expensive GPS's have very low resolution screens.
I also wanted to watch video on this device... because I don't want to carry
an extra device to play movies.As it's Windows CE based, I was able to install
a media player that plays almost all the movie formats in a very high resolution
screen.Most of the movies played well without re-formatting or re-sizing.
Most GPS's do not allow, but you can play movies while running GPS voice navigation.
It will halt the movie as the voice navigation comes out.
Yes, it's fast!I think it's the fastest in $100~$400 price range.
Although the navigation feature is little behind of other popular GPS brands,
it worked fairly well.Many people complains about out-of-date maps.
But, I think it's the same for all other brands, too.The U.S. is a huge land.
They cannot keep up-to-date with every single road that are constructed and destroyed in few weeks or months.Also, HP provides the map update for free.. at least for now.
I was just disappointed by the fact that this is not a complete WinCE OS.
I was not able to install my language fonts to be used for the subtitle of the movies I play.
